All players registered by the registration deadline are eligible for the recreational program. Players must be 4 years old to 18 years old on August 1 of the summer preceding the season. We do not set the age cutoff. We must abide by this date for our club to be eligible to participate in sanctioned events and also for insurance reasons. PLEASE NOTE: Norman has started an under-4 group beginning with the Spring 2012 season. Children born between 8/1/07 and 1/31/08 are eligible to play in the U-4 division.
Players from age 3 to age 11 (U4-U12 divisions) must have a birth certificate on file in the office. Please provide a photocopy of the player’s birth certificate (the copy does not need to be stamped). If we have confirmed receipt of your player’s birth certificate, you do not need to send another one each season. Older players (U12-U19 traveling rec divisions) will provide a copy of the birth certificate to their team parent to obtain player passes.
In some cases, players will be permitted to play up an age level. Under no circumstance will players be permitted to play below their proper age level (FCSA and OSA regulations). Some players with August birthdays choose to play up so they can be with their school grade level (which is based on a September cutoff date). This is permitted, but if players are not signing up to play with friends in their grade, we recommend sticking to the proper soccer age division. Additionally, your child will be required to play in the proper soccer age level in order to participate in Norman's competitive program.
Players are not required to live in Noble or attend Noble Public Schools. However, except for full teams which register players together, practices will be held in Noble.
